My name is Julian Wiseman and I am a private maths tutor based in Thurrock, Essex. I have worked in colleges and secondary education for over 25 years teaching at all ability levels and throughout the age range. I specialise in GCSE Higher Tier and A-Level Maths and offer tuition in:

I have been running the WiseMaths tutoring service for 12 years now and have kept an excellent results record over the years.
Before tutoring, I worked as a college lecturer and as a secondary school teacher in Kent for 15 years. I am also an Examiner for Edexcel marking A-Level papers in Core mathematics.
I offer three types of maths tuition service, depending on your needs and location. All services are tailored specifically for your needs.
There is no minimum commitment for number of sessions taught and no advance payment required.
All students will receive regular updates on progress and whether agreed targets are being reached, and an ongoing assessment on likely grade outcomes with current/increased rate of progress.
Resource materials such as papers and worksheets are provided and I can also give advice on equipment purchases (e.g. “ideal” calculators, textbooks, etc.)
Mr Wiseman is a highly enthusiastic, reliable and vastly experienced mathematics tutor. His expertise in building a confident skillset of mathematic abilities has enabled me to progress from BTEC Diploma to HND and onto Undergraduate degree level mathematics. The skillset that I have developed via Mr Wiseman’s tutoring has taken me from an adult leaner with a low confidence level in A Level Mathematics, to being able to excel in my Undergraduate mathematic modules.
